psychologically abused and blamed.

all we want is to live in a world

that’s just and fair.

one where we’re loved for far more

than our ball-handling skills and our hair.

do you dare love us without stipulations

and classification?

are we worthy to be included in your education

beyond small facts and tidbits,

highlight reels, and alternative facts

laced throughout history?

we’re fighting for love, truth, and equality

not division and trained poverty.
